Thai Away Home (Cambie)

Thai Away Home on Cambie is a very small store with a walk-up food counter and cafe bar seating. It's definitely not a comfortable environment, but it's convenient and quick. I got a pad thai combo that came with soup, salad and a spring roll.

The soup was watery with 2 tiny pieces of mushroom inside. The vegetarian spring roll was very oily and a bit overcooked, but still tasted decent. The pad thai was really bland and came with just 2 prawns and a few pieces of tofu. The only good thing about this meal was the portion. I only managed to finish half of the noodles and had to pack the rest home. In short, it was good value in terms of quantity and not quality.
