Ganache Patisserie

Ganache is a French bakery in Yaletown featuring fancy cakes and pastries that are a feast to the eyes. I like to buy the macarons here from time to time as a sweet indulgence. Although this time I was a bit annoyed that they actually packaged crushed macarons to sell, especially at their price point.

I have to say though, that the packaging is elegant yet simple. It's amazing what a ribbon and sticker can do for a plain paper box.

The lemon meringue tart was disappointing. The pastry crust was very hard and lacked flavour. The lemon filling didn't taste very fresh and even felt a bit artificial.

I've tried some of their cakes before and those were definitely much more impressive than the macarons and the lemon tart. Two of my favourite cakes are the matcha exotique and the opera a la noisette, so give those a try when you visit Ganache.
