Brioche

I picked up some bakery items at Brioche today ranging from approximately $5.50 to $6.50 each. They were all pretty good, but unfortunately the box had probably been sitting around for a bit and had a strong musty odor that absorbed into some of the pastries. My favourite of the bunch would be the lemon meringue tart. The lemon cream was strong but not too sour, and the meringue and crust complemented the filling perfectly. The tiramisu was quite good as well. The cake was soaked in coffee liqueur, but it wasn't very soggy at all. I also liked the brownie which was rich but not overwhelmingly so. Prices were a bit high, but I would return just for the lemon meringue pie :)
